Any Budget move is being seen by different view from entities like Capital Market, Business apec bodies and the common tax payer. However the good budget is the one which keeps no confusion and this budget shows it. I believe its an ambitious budget which keeps a long term financial & economic views for the country. I can say even congress has thought abt these plans but they have had a road map or inplementation technique for these. If seen carefully the important aspects of this budget is 1. Tax reforms and enhancement in limits both for the individuals. Timely implementaion of GST is a good move however retrospective tax has still unclear views being harmful for investment. DTC is also discussed in detail. 2. FDI limits in insurance and defence upto 49%. Its a good move but will not fully serve the purpose of technology transfer. Apart from it no big reform into other sectors. 3. Govt has given very good weightage to Infrastructure like port, power. To raise money guvment seems very optimistic about PPP model however it is still a question how this is being implemented. Disinvestment is a core into that budget but are we giving enough fiscal enviornment for that. If it happens brilliant. 4. Guvment has to make clear how it is planning to keep Fiscal deficit 4.1% of the GDP as it the major thing going to shape up the desired average growth of 7-8%. 5.Land reforms, SEZ being prioritized, exemption into home loan limits, talk about affordable house for every body, smart town concept is motivating for real estate industry although we were expecting some more soaps. 6. Agriculture, Education and healthcare have been given special schemes and soaps but remember to give that shape again you must have to create the supporting infrastructure. Otherwise IIT or AIIMS will not more than a b grade institutions. Agri schemes need fast implementation and reach to the actual farmers. We should create a strong logistics support for our agro industry and lessen the involvement of middle man. All together we all have different sentiments and views about this politically or socially but as an industry person i seem to be hopeful abt that.
