Any #GMO haters out there? I suggest you look up a guy by the name of Norman Borlaug. Here...to save you the tedious exercise of doing the Google Search...heres his Wikipedia entry: But for a quick explanation of who he is...He is a Biologist from the late 30s and the 40s. He is the Father of the Green Revolution (or modern genetic crop production). He is the reason behind why Mexico has been an EXPORTER of Wheat since the mid 60s rather than a country that is STARVING to death. Hes also the reason why India, Pakistan, and China arent STARVING due to increased RICE yields. Hs known as the Man who saved a billion people from starving. However, he ran into problems with Greenpeace when he tried applying these technologies to Africa. His response to people who oppose GMOs is simple...Look into the eyes of a starving child and tell him he or she cant have GMOs. Do you all think GMOs only apply to food? Where do you think we get all dozens of breeds of dogs from? How do you think you got that little purse dog from a Timber Wolf? Selective breeding. Most GMOs are just selective breeding.
