Any advice? Dawn Bernard writes: I need some advice. I just became a foster failure to Max a male chihuahua that we think is around 2 years old. We recently had him fixed & he is doing great. He is a little love, but is having some dominance issues. It would appear that we r the 3rd or 4th home for this sweet lol guy. Our other 4 pups r senior females; Ginger 15 yo Aussie/border collie-leader of the pack, Tinkerbell a 15 yo min pin /chi mix that has adopted our lil guy as her son, Roxy a13 yo chi, a newly adopted Charo r 10 yo chi/rat terrier mix. They all get along, Tinkerbell & Charo have quickly become Maxs playmates. Our problem is that Max has peed on our bed on or by the pillows-once on my side & the last 2 days on daddys side. He does it when we arent in the room in the late day or night. Ive been told that this is a dominance problem & hes trying to let us know that the bed is his. Im not only tired of cleaning bed & bed linens but am worried that my girls my start marking it as well as their territory. Max loves his crate & bed/blanket/stuffed animal inside & goes in & out as he wishes. He was initially sleeping in his crate, but weve recently let him sleep in our bed with us & the other pups. Tonight we resume him sleeping in his crate. Any ideas what I can do to resolve this peeing in our bed???? Wed appreciate any suggestions. He is ours & not going anywhere but we need to correct this behavior.
