Any chemistry students looking to apply their knowledge in a business setting and make a difference? The Chemistry Student Society has been contacted by a non-profit program run through Enactus SFU called Soap for Hope which aims to transform used bars of soaps into sanitized, liquid soap that is good for retail sale. All the revenue from their soap sales goes back to the marginalized individuals on the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver who help produce the soap, so their program is helping to create jobs and recycle! Soap for Hope is looking for knowledgeable chemistry students to apply their skills and help out to perfect their soap manufacturing process.
