Any info is much appreciated. My 4 year old Son has been unwell for the last 2 ish weeks with his second Asthma Episode in the last 2 months aswell as a Hospital admission July 2013 for Pneumonia. We were at the GP on Monday evening and sent home with a script for Steroids. A slight improvement throughout the day Tuesday, downhill Tuesday evening so off for an Ambo ride to ED that ended with being diagnosed as Bacterial Pneumonia. We had a 3 day review with our GP last Fri resulting in a script for a higher dose of Steroids and a permanent Steroid Inhaler, something they havent been to keen to do because he is on the younger end of the scale to require this but it seems it cannot be delayed any longer. He was a Premmie that ended up developing Asspirated Pneumonia in SCBU so we know and were told we are more suceptable to it during the colder months which is now proving true, sadly! We are really wanting to know if anyone can help me with any info of what we might be entitled to to potentially improve our home??. We are fully insulated, aluminium joinery, great heat pump, we replaced older curtains with thermal backed and there is an econo heater on in our Sons bedroom all night. We have been looking into HRVs and def think that would be of a huge benefit to us. I think i will ring the Asthma Foundation and maybe get an HRV representitive to pop in and have a chat but wanted to see if any other Out & Abouters could help me with ANY info about ANYTHING related to our families issue. Thanx loads 😊
