Any media house - be it an online portal, radio station, TV station, newspaper, magazine, blog or any of the sorts - which reports on these obviously fake and meaningless doctoral degrees from academic and motivational institutions that use yahoo and gmail email addresses and sell the degrees for less than the cost of 4 saloon car tires, and being bandied about by virtually everyone including people who relish academic credentials but may be too lazy or simply not smart enough to study for them, should be ashamed of themselves (long sentence, I know). How do the Editors at these big news outlets work? The story gets published because it was sent to them? Nobody tries to do some cross - check especially when it concerns an issue a lot of people have drawn their attention to? Even Honorary doctorate degrees are earned massa. And as for those who actually add DR to their names, studying for a PhD is a very hard job. If your head die so much that you cannot study for it, work hard at what you do and then some truly ACCREDITED INSTITUTION with a .edu email address will recognise that hard work. In my next rant I may just name and shame news outlets and shameless Ghanaians who want to get what they havent earned.
