Any other Cresteds out there do this weird (and gross) thing? So Frodo, who is now 1 year old intact boy, has picked up this strange habit. He eats poop of our small pets. He doesnt JUST eat it, he litetally SAVORS it! He starts off with obsessive sniffing, then drooling, then makes this weird lip-smacking sound, then a long slow lick... more lip smacking and drooling then more licks, and even long after the turd itself is eaten he will continue to lick the spot where it was til theres a huge wet spot from his drool. We have two very small parrots (smaller than budgies) and they leave teeny tiny poops that are easily missed. He finds them with that nose of his and usually has them down before I can stop him. Its so nasty... especially because he seems to love it so much! My daughter also has pet rats. Its rare that we miss cleaning those up, but it happens sometimes, and again, he eats it if we dont catch him at the sniffing /drooling phase. Does anyone know why he does this? Is it because hes not fixed? He just started doing this in the last 3 months or so (where he obsessively sniffs, drools, licks and eats the poop).
