Any other Do and Dont rules? Tanya Clossey posted Thought to share this Do & Dont list about bathing your Great Dane. I wrote this after my first attempt lolz Know you all will understand some of it! How to Bathe a Great Dane Dos & Donts.... 1). Dont try to put them in front legs first. They will just sit and use there hind legs and front legs as a brace against tub. YOU are not moving a 165lb dog that way. (Lesson learned) 2). Do get in the Bathtub first and grab them from the back end and lift their backside in first. Then get out and lift the front legs in. ( While doing this they are grounding themselves, make sure you built some muscle by this time) 3). Pay mind to their long necks before you dump a huge cup of water on it..most likely it will be sticking out of the tub, and they will NOT cooperate in this. 4). If you have a Dane like I do and they are frightened of jumping out or off things...Repeat step 1 & 2. ( Like i had to, too get her out) If you can Do and Dont do these things..you MAY have a Successful & Enjoyable bathing session.
