Any politician calling for a General Election without explaining what they will do when they get into power is no better than what is already in there. A decent politician should be prepared to go in to the Dail and fight tooth and nail for the people of this country. They should be prepared to dismantle the corruption that has blighted this country since its foundation. An end to cronyism and nepotism. No more jobs for the boys. An end to the excessive pay and expenses for those in power. A radical shake up of the Dail and how it is run and make it answerable to the people of the country. A complete and massive reduction in TDs and councillors. An end to the pension scams and ensure each politician is entitled to one pension only and that they cannot avail of it till they have retired. The list is endless but there is no politician that is truly committed to making these changes.
