Any tips for housebreaking a rescue who had been abused? Snickers is a 2yo Chihuahua, and doesnt want to use the doggie door or the pee-pee pads. She was abused and not sure how she lived prior to getting her but I feel like an arse trying to discipline her when she goes inside. As for the doggie door weve trained many many dogs to used one and she is really scared of it, even using the treat method. :( Weve had her for over 4 months and am trying to be patient, cause I can only imagine what her life was like before us. Anyways....just seeing if anyone has any experience/wisdom to share. :D xo
