Anybody ever build furniture? I am looking for some tips or maybe have someone look over my plans. We have a small living room and need a couch that fits in a tight space. It also has to have built in storage because the house is small/no basement. Buying this costs $3000-$4000 :( But I think I can build it for about 10% of that. It will basically be a series of 36 x 36 boxes made with 2x12s. A hinged lid on top. I will put grip tape on top of the lid and add a cushion. Somehow I need to make a back with about a 25 degree angle. I plan to put three of these together and maybe a bench coming off one side like a sectional.
