Anybody need a quick Etsy moment? From Melissa Back: as far as etsy goes - pictures are going to make a huge difference - work on taking great pictures of your stuff - find a background that doesnt interfere or overshadow your craft. you can upload several pictures of each item - put as many as it will allow. the more information you can give a buyer - either by a great set of pictures, or in the descripton, the more likely they are to browse your store and possibly buy from you. once you get your store set up - then cross post it to pinterest. that way, you have another outlet for getting your store out there. dont worry about copycats - if your stuff is good, you will have copycats - those that can look at your pictures and recreate your work, are not going to buy from you, anyway. _______________________________________________________________ we should create a second page - one that is only for links to our fb pages, Etsy pages, web pages, etc. then put in pictures of what you have for sell - updating it with new pictures, as you create something. then everyone in the group can post a link to that page on their personal fb page - so their friends can browse everything that is offered. then use this page for brainstorming ideas. ------------------------------------- on those sites that offer to do online craft shows - for a fee..... we can set up our own. if you follow pages of stuff you like (I follow about 800 pages, I am in about 50 groups and I admin quite a few), you will see that they do givaways - if you are in groups that are similar, you might notice that they sometimes work together. we can do this, too. -------------------------------------- we can also each do an individual post on our walls, showcasing others (as well as our own) work.
