Anyone Norwegian here? What can you tell us about the Barnevernet? I read its not a government body, that its a private entity that can take ones kids away without any court order? I also read that it takes away kids from families of foreigners (Indian, Polish, Russian and now CZ) and places them with Norwegian families within the same day (who are on a waiting list to get some state welfare funding based on that...). The usual reasons for taking the kids away are normal practices in the foreign cultures (a slap on the bum, eating with hands - Indian, not having enough toys or quality clothes... etc.) None of it is based on a court case. The Czech mother fighting for her two boys since 2011 now only has permission to see them twice per year for 15 minutes (no touching, no emotions, no tears, no speaking in Czech allowed!). Please someone tell me this is not for real!
