Anyone deal with eBay issues before? Seller listed an old, cheap camera as excellent condition and fully functional yet it showed up dead on arrival. While it could have gotten damaged in shipping the box looked pristine so I highly doubt it. The seller will not answer my questions as to whether or not they knew it was inoperable when they shipped it. I feel that its fair that the seller covers return shipping, which they are refusing to do. Ethically I know Im in the right but is this something anyone has had experience with eBay backing them up on? Or am I likely going to have to eat the return shipping charges? The conundrum Im in is that I can have the camera repaired for about the same amount as the return shipping charges, so if I cant get them to cover the return shipping its actually more beneficial for me to just have the thing repaired. But if eBay will back me on this Id rather go through with it just for the principle of the matter. Dont want to waste my time and effort if they side with the seller though. Never had any issues before in all my years of eBaying so not sure how they handle stuff like this.
