Anyone else feel like the real source of controversy around streaming services is that its an on-demand service as opposed to lineated form of programmed media, like radio? Doesnt anyone else think its a bit silly to compare it to radio, or even illegal downloading? I feel as though its something completely different and should be treated as such. These comparisons are just going in circles and acting like smoke screens in my opinion. Its a pretty interesting controversy to be following right now, especially seeing as Im involuntarily a part of it. Maybe thats what annoys people most as well... taxation without representation in a way, isnt it. Many questions, no quick answers, lots of excitement. I think streaming is pretty cool frankly.
