Anyone ever heard of a BLUE COMET amp? Probably from the 40s or 50s. Seems to be very rare. I picked it up today... in BAAAAAD shape. tried to get it up and running... but no luck so far. Replaced the power cable with an IEC grounded jack. The tubes light up. But it just makes a huge hum. Like FULL BLAST on the speaker. I am not sure of these tubes... dont know if theyre even in the right sockets.... (7c7) Rectifier, (35a5) Power?, and (35y4) Half-Wave Rectifier? Jensen PM speaker, three tubes, no volume and no tone control. When it gets up and running, its gonna be some really sweet tone, for sure! Any help on even identifying it would be greatly appreciated!
