Position Summary: This Business Analyst is responsible for creating, managing and maintaining documentation of requirements, data mapping for integration, identification of gaps between systems and the assisting in the testing process. In this information technology role you will also lead and/or assist with project scoping and business process reengineering under the direct guidance and instruction of the product manager. The Business Analyst acts as a liaison between IT and assigned business units in order to disseminate information. This includes getting related information to the departments and managing the business changes associated with releasing new technology solutions. Will work with Company’s Clients on the phone and in person to ensure the software meets all their expectations. Summary of Essential Position Functions: Works with the Development Team, product stake holders and the user community to determine gaps and requirements for each project Participate in and lead detail design discussions. Compose clear and concise user stories, which may include process flow diagrams that define existing processes. Document gaps of the present product and propose future product designs Provides recommendations and alternative approaches for solutions Manages and produces the product specifications and user stories for the Development Performs preliminary testing and feature verification. Documents testing results including customer testing requirements and internal testing requirements Provide go live assistance and support on-site as necessary Provide the necessary information to the Product Manager for transition into support Provide guidance to development and support/QA resources, as well as functional and technical documentation to ensure the right features are delivered with each release Conduct and schedule product demonstrations and presentations to various customers and prospects Act as a stake holder within the Agile/Scrum development process Perform other duties as assigned Experience/Skills/Knowledge: Professionalism and excellent oral and written communication skills Self-directed and motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team based environment Ability to develop strong relationships with external customers Previous experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and operate under tight deadlines Attention to detail and good organizational skills Experience in the mortgage industry a plus Time management skills Technical/Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project and Access Four to Six years’ experience in a business analyst role Experience with standard software development project management processes (SDLC, waterfall, Agile, Scrum etc.) Experience with standard analysis and documentation techniques (use cases, business rules, process diagrams, etc.) Experience in use case analysis and modeling, and other industry best practices
