Anyone keen to get fit in 2015 and support a local charity? RUN TO SOS (Stamp Out SIDS) with Rivers Gift! In 2011, our world stopped when we woke to find our 4 month old son, River had died in his sleep from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome - we vowed to make a difference in honour of his life and all those other babies who die from SIDS each year. In 3 years we have become Australias largest SIDS research funding organisation and we want you to join us on our journey towards a cure. Join our Rivers Gift run campaign for 2015 and get fit, raise awareness and funds and meet a great group of people!.. remember you dont need to be a runner to join our campaign.. we cater for all fitness levels from beginners/non runners to seasoned athletes. Get a team from your work place together and challenge each other to get fit in 2015! Our 2015 Great Ocean Road Marathon Festival campaign details (45km/23km/14km), together with our brand new promotional video, are below: The training structure: Wednesday nights will commence at 6pm (mainly at Landy Field/Barwon River) and Saturday mornings at 7am (variety of locations). You will receive a training program at the beginning of the campaign that outlines the dates, venues and distances each week. We will send out maps each week so you know the course. Marathon and Half Marathon registration night is on Wed 21st Jan at 6pm (Landy Field). This will include our first run for the training program. As part of your registration fee, you will receive a Rivers Gift run singlet (improved design and vibrant blue colour) and drink bottle, together with 17 weeks specialist coaching with Chris Melville, Jono Gill and Kirsty Quick. 14 km registration night is on Wed 18th Feb at 6pm (Landy Field). This will include our first run for the training program. As part of your registration fee, you will receive a Rivers Gift run singlet (improved design and vibrant blue colour) and drink bottle, together with 13 weeks specialist coaching with Chris Melville, Jono Gill and Kirsty Quick.
