Anyone know a teenager (13-17) looking for a cool summer adventure? Ill volunteer for airport pick up and drop[ off if you want to send them... Teen Treks The adventure starts on camp and travels off-site as teens learn and develop outdoor and leadership skills. Voyagers travel by kayak/canoe; Trailblazers are backpacking on-foot. Teens should be in good physical condition and able to a carry 40+ lb backpacks over long distances (8-12 miles/day) on uneven, and difficult terrain (for Trailblazers), and be able to canoe long distances (3-6 miles/day) on open flat water (for Voyagers). This intense wilderness experience brings out the best in teens as they work as a team to travel through the back country, cook over a campfire, sleep in tents and face challenges cooperatively. Teens will participate in a Kenai River rafting trip upon return to base camp. The fee for this program is $395. Scholarships are available. Voyagers: June 15-21 Trailblazers: July 20-26
