Wilkes-Barre City Police Department Information Robbery/ DATE:01/25/2014 TIME: 1746 hours LOCATION:G & G Express, 144 Academy Street PERSONS INVOLVED: see Picture INCIDENT DETAILS: On 01-25-14 at 1746 hours, officers were detailed to 144 Academy St, G&G Express, for a robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the store employee, hereafter known as the victim. He stated as he was checking out a customer when two males entered the store. He stated a male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt entered the store holding a semi-auto hand gun demanding money. During the incident the suspect fired a weapon at the victim several times. As the suspect shot at him, the second suspect jumped onto the counter and removed cash from the register. The two suspects then fled the area on foot in unknown direction. The victim described the suspects as: Suspect 1: Light Skinned black or Latino male, approx. 59 150 lbs. wearing red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The male also had a thin goatee. Suspect 2: Male, Unknown Race or age. Wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Please see the attached video surveillance photograph.
