Anyone know why a small blue bird would be sitting on the ground, allowed to be coaxed onto a branch, carried by a person, placed on the ground and not fly away...and then 10 minutes later, take off? Katie encountered this little pretty bird near our trailer, almost stepping on it. Thinking it was injured, she approached it cautiously, but it didnt move or flinch or in any way attempt to get away. She showed it to me...and then put it down to check out if there was a nest or something near the trailer. As she was walking back to look at the bird again, it took off... Any idea why this little bird acted this way?
