Anyone looking to help volunteer over the holidays? Firefighters Without Borders is selling their 2015 firefighter calendar and we are looking for some volunteers to help us at our upcoming events. Please message me if you still have a Seneca uniform or if youre interested in helping us out. Firefighters Without Borders is supporting: Fire Stations in Santiago Chile by providing station wear uniforms for the crews. They didn’t have a uniform to wear and now they have clothing to wear when going to medical calls and around the stations. We are currently working on a program for Spring 2015 in Macedonia where we will train local firefighters who have nothing, in First Aid, Firefighting Techniques, and we are already providing them with bunker gear and firefighting equipment such as SCBA and all protective equipment. We have providing funding to support other Canadian local fire departments to aid the Pipes and Drums bands and Honour Guard continue to do great work. They currently rely on donations to continue to attend funerals and special events. We are examining the possibility of working in Canada’s North to provide training and support to remote and isolated departments. Our support for Central America continues as we supply equipment to Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Our most recent project will be to build a fire department in Placentia, Belize in 2016. Thanks
