Anyone remember this? Im standing across the street from the old Remington Rand facility on Greene St. in Marietta OH. Photo taken yesterday whilst cavorting with Carla and 2 of our grandkids (antique shopping..a favorite pastime of ours). I worked on the 4th floor of the factory complex..Paint Shop..for a few miserable weeks during my 1977-78 stint with Sperry-Univac, the company that bought out Rand. The administration building in front is actually pretty classy..Corinthian architecture, or something like that. The imposing behemoth in back is where I labored under the tutelage of a grumpy old fart who didnt take kindly to my long locks. The next pic..a stock photo..shows the admin building in all its Olympian glory, surrounded by the monstrous sweatshop. Boy, was I glad to get out of that hellhole. ;)
