Anyone still remember kok-kok mee? The hawker with the bamboo sticks knocking in rhythmic tunes while selling their ware? I could still see the smile of the gentleman, as we lowered the money to him from our second floor window, so that he can place the noodles in the same basket for us to pull up. Tastes Sooo Good! :) Thats really hard earned money and we were privileged to have witnessed such sights. Our older generation had contributed so much, through their hard work. My Grandmother worked as a Red Headscarf Construction woman till her late 60s, until her Site Supervisor begged her to stop. Her motto: No Work, No Food. Thank you Senior Singaporeans, for without you all, we wont have the Singapore today. We Salute You - RSI
