Anyone who has a child, niece, nephew, godchild or simply remembers their early childhood can attest to the fact that there is no perfect child. Just as you do not need to teach a child to lie, run away when you tell them to come or to sneak a cookie from the tin you do not need to teach man to sin. For sinful nature is inherent to man. Man is a sinner by birth and by choice. “…every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood.” Exert from Genesis 8:21. Similarly, “ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 As we are born with a sinful nature, a natural incineration to disobey Gods law, we must also understand that just as a disobedient child incurs their parents punishment, there is an incurred penalty for sin: “the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The good news is that Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for our sin that we may have eternal life. “Remember what it says: Today when you hear his voice, dont harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.” Hebrews 3:15
