Anyone who has ever worked at the YMCA knows.....it gets in your blood and becomes a part of you and it changes you for the better. You love the people you work with and the families you work for - even when you leave, your passion for the families and your friends remains...becomes one of the beats of your heart... Tonight when the crazy outside world inserted itself into our safe haven - it was amazing - we acted like the family we are: everyone reaching out, checking on each other, making calls, shouting out to anyone who might have been there, letting others know when they heard from someone, Y friends who have moved to other states checking in... Prayers and hugs to all of us and especially the victims of the tragic events. Godspeed.
