Anyone who missed Battlezone last night really missed out, great fights and atmosphere. Derry was outstanding he dished out some hard punches and took some big slams but hung in there and won by ground and pound in round 2. Brian ODonoghue was nice and composed, making his opponent miss and following up with some nice hard shots, also won by ground and pound in round 1. Wayne Fitzgerald was unlucky, he was nice and relaxed and I felt he was getting the better of the stand up but his lad had a good ground game and took his back in round 2 and finished by rear naked choke. Darren O Gorman was very slick winning all the way through and finishing with a nice armbar in round 3. Lloyd Manning proved hes the best in the country with some crazy throws and unpredictable spinning backfists/kicks. Ciaran Daly showed how good his hand are making short work of his fight with a early first round KO. Proud to have my MMA team as part of the MMA Clinic, Kieran Obrien Kieran O Brien and Sean Tobin showed the level their producing from the gym with Darren, Lloyd and Ciaran off to Vegas to represent Ireland in July.
