Anyone who reads this and is in doubt of how police officer react in certain situations I challenge you in the next year to call your local police station and go for and ride along. I have been on 2 of them, its a real eye opener. I also work in an environment that has many criminals, and dangerous people that wouldnt mind hurting me. Not knowing what a person is capable of, what they are thinking, is a situation that is challenging to manage. Countless times while confronting a violent person I have feared watching a hand go into a pocket, or the way there body moved when they turned around and reacted. Cops dont respond to happy, fun, or positive celebrations. Day in and day out they respond to viloence, domestic disputes, shootings, and many other negative, dangerous situations. Constantly living on the edge, trying to guess how a person is going to react. Educate yourself, take a ride with a cop, see what a night in that car is really like.
