Anyone who says that anything in science is the last and final word that cannot be questioned is not following science, but some other ideology. The very nature of science is to question, gather evidence, test it, be objective, and form a theory. The theory is never set in stone and can always be questioned. If new evidence comes in to the contrary of the theory, the theory can be changed. Although a lot of people take the Big Bang Theory as gospel, there is still room to prove it as false or as true. Scientists are still gathering evidence to prove it. A lot of people take the Global Warming Theory as gospel now-a-days even though there is mounting evidence that poke large holes in the theory. If you ignore evidence that comes in to refute a theory you believe in, then you are no longer being objective, nor are you following science, but clinging to ideology.
