Anyone with advice on how CF went for them post chemo & radiotherapy for cancer - I know we have a few Cancer Survivors out there that can share their experiences with Liz. I found a tiny lump in my left breast April 2010 diagnosed as cancer, so had surgery to remove lump then six weeks of radiotherapy. Nothing in my lymph nodes. Finished radiotherapy September 2010. Continued working and got on with life. Never ever thinking it would return. January 2012 started having pain in my right thigh. Had xrays in February which I was told were clear (only to be told four months later that there was cancer in the xray and it had been read wrong). So I continued with the pain thinking it was a muscle or something that I had done at netball or basketball. Pain was so terrible I could hardly walk and had to use a crutch. saw a sports doctor then next day had an MRI scan which showed I had cancer in my right thigh bone, right hip, and along my spine. So then started high does radiotherapy on my leg had a break then high does radiotherapy on my spine. Then started chemo in September 2012 which finished in December2012. Had two weeks in Brisbane over xmas new year and swam everyday, and walked. Went back to full time duties at work end of January. I continue to get bone strengthening treatment intravenously every six weeks in the oncology ward. Feel a hell of a lot stronger than I did last year but still feel very cautious. So the cancer is metastic bone cancer which obviously will be with me always. But I think if I can do some cross fit training its gona help me mentally and physically, I really want to know how others found getting back into exercise - thank you.
