Anyone with an eskimo auger I have a question. I have only drilled about 60 holes with my auger I just bought this year. The blades seem to be reasonably sharp yet I now need to put significant pressure in order to cut ice. I touched them up with a fine file which only helped for about 10 holes. Now the question...how sharp do your blades need to be normally to grab the ice? (Like a knife...razor blades) Is it normal to need sharpening after around 60 holes? Thanks for anyone who can help with experience and insight.
