Anything that points to Christ and the cross is from God, but anything that points away to the cross is not from God ( 1 John 4:2-3) I am sick of all Christian Tv shows and pastors who give a testimony that finances got better because of giving! I heard today, "Father wants to give you, but until you give- He will give you" Nooooooooo! We are blessed because of His sacrifice at the cross! All our blessings, including $ are ours through Him! We are not blessed because we give, we are blessed because of Him! Giving is what we do because He is a giving God. No need to manipulate God! We give as we are being led by the Spirit! We give abundantly!
