Aotearoa Animal Rights Conference in Wellington. Another international guest announced! Philip Wollen is a philanthropist and the founder of the Winsome Kindness Trust in Melbourne. The Trust’s mission is “To promote kindness towards all other living beings and enshrine it as a recognisable trait in the Australian character and culture.” During his travels around the world Philip has seen cruelty on such a massive scale that he has decided to become a committed activist for social justice and give away everything he possesses. He is involved with around 500 projects in over 40 countries around the world benefiting children, animals, the ill, the environment and aspiring youth. He supports schools, hospitals, orphanages, shelters, ambulances, anti-whaling campaigns, marine protection, bore-wells, animal rights films, wildlife protection, biogas plants, medical equipment, food and fuel supplies, oncology, road trauma, and palliative care projects, Kindness Farms, Mobile Vegan Restaurants and disaster relief. Philip carries a lot of weight in the business world and is a former merchant banker. When he was just 34, an Australian business magazine named him as one of the 40 top headhunted executives in Australia. He received the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2005 and two years later he won the Australian of the Year (Victoria) for his work. He is looking forward to attending the conference and says activists recharge his batteries! For more about Philip check him out kindnesstrust/ or on facebook Philip Wollen.
