Apart for the yawn series Miami v. Charlotte... this is the most amazing first round of the NBA playoffs in the history of the league. Portland v. Houston: road teams winning the first 3 games before Portland won an incredible game today, leading 3-1. Wesley Matthews is proving why he belongs on the All-Defensive team. LeMarcus Aldridge is a top 7 player in this league, and is finally getting his due respect. And as much as I hate to say it, Dwight looks great down low, and Harden makes some amazing shots... Also, who the hell is Troy Daniels!? San Antonio v. Dallas: Huge rivalry, capped (so far) by a 3-point buzzer beater by the time-turning Vince Carter, putting the 8 seed up 2-1. Dirk v. Duncan is a rivalry for the ages, and its great to see this classy matchup in the twilight of their respective careers. Golden State v. Los Angeles Clippers: High flying, high scoring. Lob City v. Splash Brothers. After a herculean effort today by Steph Curry, the series is tied at 2-2, only to be overshadowed by the Clippers disgusting bigoted owner Donald Sterling (but even Im giving kudos to the Clips for how theyve handled it). Oklahoma City v. Memphis: Mike Conley is showing the world that hes a force to be reckoned with. Anchored on defense by Marc Gasol and Tony Allen, the Grizz can actually take out the West favorites if Durant keeps shooting so poorly. Series also tied at 2-2, with both teams having won in both gyms. Indiana v. Atlanta: Unfortunately, this series tied at 2-2 has very little to do with the 8-seeded Hawks, but more to ask What is wrong with Pacers?! Even if the Pacers DO win this series, Jeff Teague is showing the Heat how to beat the dysfunctional Pacers. Brooklyn v. Toronto: I thought this would be walk in the park for Brooklyn, but those Raptors, and those Toronto fans, are deserving of this team, and these wins. Kyle Lowry is FOR REAL, and Demar DeRozen is a star in the making. Kevin Garnett better turn back the clock, and Deron Williams better remember how to play basketball, or the Raptors are going to end this 2-2 series by winning the next 2. Washington v. Chicago: Its sad to watch the Bulls struggle so much on offense with Derrick Rose still out with injury. Where do they go for a bucket? Taj Gibson? Sad, even though he is having a career series. John Wall, Bradley Beal and co. are showing the east that they can make some noise. Derrick Rose or no, Its hard to penetrate that Thibbs defense, and they are doing it very well. A 3-1 series lead should have them winning it in 6 on their home floor. New Prediction: West Finals - Portland v. Oklahoma City East Finals - Indiana v. Miami
