Apart from his Chimurenga name Joshua Misihairambwi, Cde Mark Dube earned himself a nickname which actually became his second Chimurenga name "Monomutaparasi". This name emanated from how he used to motivate fighters either at training camps or on their way to the front by saying "Tondosangana ku M o no m o t a p a r a si macomrades". By this he meant that the Gathering Point (GP) at home in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) would be at the plush Monomotapa Hotel which was then the preserve of the minority whites.Such a GP would indicate the complete defeat of white rule.
