Apartment life...theres a young couple with a tiny Yorkie that they let run off leash. Tonight, said Yorkie runs back and forth in front of my patio, totally antagonizing my dogs. I walk outside and ask the owner why she lets the dog off leash. She says, Oh, I just let her off for a little while. And I said (as patiently as I could), You know its dangerous for a tiny dog like that to be off leash, right? Even if shes friendly, if she comes across a not-so-friendly dog, it would be a bad scene. And she basically waves me off and acts like Im crazy. I call out after her that theres a dog park on sight where she can let the dog run around off-leash safely. I get another wave. Sigh. Between that and stepping on poop all the time courtesy of yet more inconsiderate neighbors, my grumpy-middle-age-dog-lady tendencies really come out.
