Apparently Ive disappointed because I didnt go to work but instead stayed with my severely ill daughter who a few hours later was sent into hospital and put on a drip. I didnt know how much of a disappointment I was at the time because I was interrupted with a rude reply and had the phone slammed down on me halfway through my opening sentence when I called in to politely explain and apologise. Im can assure you that my reluctance to put someone elses profit before my ill child isnt half as disappointing to my former employer as their lack of manners and failure to show compassion is to me.
