Apparently the prosecutors gave copies of a law the US Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional in 1986. They gave the law to the jurors, and told them that the law allowed the use of deadly force if a suspect ever flees the scene. They never actually corrected the error, though they did give them another copy of the law that now affects the use of force, but did not tell them the second law superseded the first copy they gave them.
