Apparently the trip from London to St Peter Port/Guernsey could have been accomplished overnight, but they put an at-sea day into the itinerary in order to give the folks who boarded the ship directly after flying into London time to recuperate. In order to "make time", the ship has been doing holding pattern loops in the English Channel, giving them an opportunity to do engine-load tests and tuning as well.
