Apparently unemployment has dropped below the 2 million mark. May I say how pleased am (or am I?) for all those lucky people who have got themselves zero hours contracts or can now work like a slave for the minimum wage and have the pleasure of applying for benefits to survive, despite working their guts out for 40 hours a week. Good luck to those too who have, out of desperation, gone self employed and will probably go under with a mountain of debt hanging round their neck. All the very best as well to all the unfortunates who no longer show up on the unemployment figures as they have fallen foul of the Job Centres only purpose in life now which is to find ways to sanction people.
