Appeal for Unity after all the hateful, anti-cop comments he made is not enough. De Blasio needs to publicly apologize to the NYPD, as well as to ALL law enforcement across the Nation......It is called eating humble pie in some circles. Then he needs to publicly denounce everyone who is going around demanding dead cops, as well as all who are claiming cops deliberately have it in for blacks. Next, he needs to declare that the way to get along with cops is 1.) do not commit crimes, 2.) say Yes, Sir/Maam; No Sir/Maam; or Sir/Maam, I do not understand rather than getting into arguments with cops, and 3.) do not resist arrest......if there is a problem, get your attorney to straighten it out for you later. Until DE Blasio does these things, there will be no unity because what he means is do it my way. Stephen Parr
