Appeal to Trace Owners of Suspected Stolen Building Materials Police are appealing to trace the owner of suspected stolen building materials after two transit vans were stopped on the A174. One of the vans was pulling a trailer which contained a large quantity of building materials which are suspected to be stolen, along with the trailer itself. The recovery was made at around 1.20pm on Saturday 9th November on the A174 westbound, around one mile prior to the A19. One man aged 25 and two men aged 33 were arrested on suspicion of theft and have been bailed pending further enquiries. Anyone who believes that they could be the owner of the suspected stolen building materials is asked to contact PC Andy Overton from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting event number 198878.
