Apple dumpling 2cups flour. 2/3 cup Crisco ( or lard or cold butter) 3/4 tsp. Salt. Cold water Mix flour, salt and cut in Crisco with a knife. Add only enough water to make picture hold together. Do not knead. Divide in 2 parts and roll to 1/8th I changing thickness. Cut large circles. Slid tart apples in thin slices, put a small amount in center add sprinkle with sugar and nutmeg and a dot of butter. Bring edges together and seal tightly. Prick top to let steam escape. Bake in a quick oven 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 15 to 20 minutes items.
