Apples Watch is gonna be a silent assistant. Unlike Google - TopicsExpress

Apples Watch is gonna be a silent assistant. Unlike Google Glass, which is an in your face assistant. Google Glass helps you navigate around town. Its pretty cool at doing that. One of the real places where Glass has value. Apple has a different idea. It wants to hide assistants on you. Where does this come from? A partner of Apples who is working on the watch. How does it work? Google Glass shows you a map and talks to you. But you gotta wear it on your face, which today, is very dorky, and messes with the social contract because you have a screen between you and the other person. Apple, on the other hand, will use haptic feedback to tell you where to walk. So, no one on the street (like your date) knows you have no clue where you are going, but you can tell Siri take me to Keens (a famous steak place in New York). Itll tell you which way to go through a little motor inside the watch. Turn right, might be two taps on your wrist. Turn left? One. Going the wrong way, nine. Etc etc. I was thinking what else could this do, though. Lets say you walk into a really crappy restaurant (we almost did that in New York, until one of us pulled out Foursquare and saw a ton of tips that said run from this place, the food sucks and the service is worse. Imagine you walk into such a place and your watch starts warning you. Saving you an embarrassing meal with your date. Or, lets say you are walking down the street in the Broadway district and your friends have all said you MUST see this play. It could tap you on the wrist, and you could save it for looking into later, or it might say tickets available with a few taps. I think this is cool. What about you? I bet Pebble and others do the same.
