Applications are now being accepted for the Merrill Police Auxiliary Unit. This a non-sworn civilian volunteer position established to supplement the overall mission of the Merrill Police Department. Minimum Qualifications: A minimum age of 18 at the time of appointment High School Diploma or equivalent Valid WI driver’s license and good driving history Good verbal and written communication skills Must be able to withstand a pre-appointment background investigation to include no felony convictions, no domestic abuse convictions, or other disqualifying offenses Ability to work conventional and unconventional hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to perform the essential functions of this position Apply: DJ-LE-330 applications are available online at wilenet.org. Applicants must use the current DJ-LE-330 form (rev 2/11) and answer all three questions in section 6. Preference will be given to qualifying applicants who possess criminal justice and WI LETSB education and training. Preference will also be given to qualifying applicants who are First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
