Applying for credit? The National Credit Act has been amended to further curb reckless lending. It takes responsibility for affordability assessments away from credit providers to the Minister’s office, and makes it an offence for a credit provider to contravene prescribed fees, charges, interest and items that can be imposed on a consumer.
