Appointment of Human Services Director: City Manager Greg Lewis today announces the appointment of Lynne Goodwin to the position of Human Services Director for the City of Lebanon, effective December 28, 2014. Lynne has been with the City since May 2013, when she accepted a temporary appointment as “Assistant Human Services Director.” Her appointment to this position was made permanent on November 25, 2013. With the Director’s position vacant since September 2013, Goodwin has worked directly with the City Manager’s Office in the administration of the City’s Human Services function. While this relationship will continue, more responsibility for the overall administration of the department will be handed to Goodwin. Goodwin graduated in May 1995 from the University of Vermont in Burlington with a Masters of Social Work. She is a current member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and the National Association of Social Workers. Prior to coming to the City, she worked for Tri-County Head Start as a Home Visitor; for Casey Family Services as a Senior Social Worker, managing the Foster Care Program; and for Hanna House as an Outreach Case Manager. “Possessing a Masters of Social Work, combined with strong relationship building skills, a caring and compassionate spirit, and a drive to better the City’s Human Services function, Lynne has proven herself capable, reliant, and determined.
