Appreciation: For the various people/groups that encourage me, in both subtle and noticeable ways, to reflect on moments of gratitude. For example, this group as a whole and individual members within our collective have prompted me to stop, reflect, and share during a moment in my life in which I am exceedingly occupied by my professional and academic roles. Inspired: By the courage, resilience and steadfastness of the various people in my life who are engaged in their spiritual and personal development. A loved one who is actively engaged in identifying familiar patterns and strategies that no longer serve her and is working toward reintroducing herself to the parts of herSelf and modalities that contribute to a more fulfilling life - remind me that this a process, often times difficult in nature, that is life long yet fulfilling. Also, the participants at our community center that cultivate and harvest a community garden that adds to the aesthetics of our community and produces the benefits of exercise, nourishment, and reflection/meditative time - invited me to stop, roll up my sleeves and participate. Sacred: basketball court. After nearly a 12 month hiatus, I reentered the basketball court/community that I considered sacred space unique to mySelf. However, after learning that there were nearly a dozen other individuals that shared the last time they had played at that location (in some cases down to the second) with the same return time (literally down to the exact arrival moment) as myself, I concluded that this space was not just uniquely sacred to mySelf. Interestingly, the shared process by which we confronted our fears to arrive to our shared space is just as sacred. I invite Steve Gelb, Terri Monroe, and Lauren Schade to share their inspirations, appreciations, and sacred moments... Peace and Love, Corey
