Apprentice House is receiving applications NOW! ARE YOU STRUGGLING WITH PAYING YOUR RENT? ARE YOU ‘COUCH SURFING’ OR LIVING IN A PLACE THAT IS AFFECTING YOUR STUDIES? APPRENTICE HOUSE is a fantastic option for any apprentices who are struggling to find affordable accommodation, or need to move out of their current place due to various circumstances. This BRAND NEW house was purpose built to provide short to medium term accommodation for apprentices working in the ACT. This 5 bedroom home is located in Lyons and each Apprentice has their own private bedroom, sitting room and ensuite. You will also be part of the household using the communal living area, kitchen and laundry. There is even storage for your tools! Apprentice House was built through a community partnership with CHC Affordable Housing and the Apprentice House Association Inc. How does it work? CHC Affordable Housing will charge apprentices a percentage of their weekly wage for rent and you will pay the Apprentice House Association Inc. a contribution for food. Charges for electricity, gas and water will be billed to each apprentice by CHC.
