Approx 12 week old puppy pulled from local shelter by the rescue group I vol for. Home with us for a few days for behavioral assessments due to predatory behavior with other puppies (came in with his littermate). They had him marked as Aussie x but I see no or very little. He weighs around 20 lbs (big boy) and is developing a double coat and beginnings of feathering. Plush coat now, brindle with some ticking on feet. Coat is dense and very soft. Im generally very good with breed IDs but sort of at a loss here and must be realistic in regards to common breeds in this area. His coloring is dull in a few of the pictures but it is rich. Ideas? Behavior indicates strong nose to ground, some of my thoughts are setter, GSD, something mastiffy or even Malinois due to wedge shaped head, but highly doubt it. Gah. Ideas?
